Toyota’s bZ4X battery-electric SUV family will expand in May 2026 with the addition of the all-new bZ4X Touring flagship grade, offering increased cargo volume and high performance from $69,990 plus on-road costs1.
The new Touring grade joins the existing bZ4X range which was recently upgraded with improvements to driving range, power output and specification, all while providing even greater value to customers.
The bZ4X Touring represents a compelling prospect for EV customers wanting increased luggage space for the whole family, with the additional benefit of increased ride height and 280kW of peak system output from its dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain.
Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations John Pappas said the bZ4X Touring will be a great option for buyers wanting a practical and punchy electric SUV.
“The new bZ4X Touring grade builds on the excellent driveability, comfort and technology of the bZ4X family, with strong storage potential and the highest power output of any Toyota passenger SUV,” Mr Pappas said.
“There has never been a better time to make the switch to Toyota battery-electric technology, with the entire bZ4X range upgraded in line with Toyota’s kaizen ethos of continual product improvement.”
The key differentiator to the bZ4X Touring compared to the rest of the bZ4X family is its additional 140mm of length behind the rear axle, which along with a more upright tailgate helps to increase luggage volume from 452 litres in the bZ4X to 603L.2
Underpinned by a 74.7kWh lithium-ion battery, the bZ4X Touring is powered by a pair of 167kW electric motors, which produce a total system output of 280kW, allowing the bZ4X Touring to sprint from standstill to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds.
The new lithium-ion battery provides 488km3 of driving range on the WLTP cycle, and supports both 150kW CCS2 DC charging and 22kW three-phase AC charging for easy top-ups at home.
bZ4X Touring examples feature a similar level of specification to the bZ4X AWD, but add unique 20-inch black alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates, ladder-style roof rails, resin black wheel arches and bonnet insert, and a rear window wiper.
The bZ4X Touring includes other premium features found elsewhere in the bZ4X range including dual-zone climate control, eight-way powered front seats with heating and ventilation, digital rearview mirror, fixed panoramic roof, two wireless smartphone chargers4, 1500W inverter and a 14-inch touchscreen multimedia system with nine-speaker JBL®5 premium audio system.
Six metallic and pearlescent paint colours are available across the bZ4X Touring range including the newly introduced Daylight Bronze metallic. All six colours can be paired with either black or the new Touring-exclusive khaki synthetic leather upholstery.6
Priced from $55,990 for the bZ4X 2WD, the updated range delivers exceptional value.
